Cakes and flowers!

A friend of mine wanted a birthday cake for another friend of ours. He likes snowboarding among alot of other stuff.
So we went ahead and made him a birthday cake! A snowboard atop a snowy coconut mountain.
I used a metal bowl to make the cake, split it on the inside, and filled it with white icing.
Then covered the entire thing on the outside, and left it light and fluffy, and added a bit of shredded coconut on the outside. I cut out a piece of sugar-paste in the shape of a snowboard, and let it dry on a rack with the ends turned up under some paper towels. After dry, I brought it to my Sociology/Sexuality class, and painted it with gel colours.

On another Note, I got a call from a lady who needed a cake for her friend's mother. Her name was Violet, so naturally they wanted a cake with purple flowers on it.
I made about 15 purple "violets" for this lady's cake. After assembled, I painted the insides darker, and put gold luster dust on tips of the petals. If I can find a Picture of the ACUTAL cake, I will eventually post it. I also let a piece of sugar-paste dry in a square, and painted "Happpy Birthday Violet" on it... Turned out kinda nice. :D

Lastly, Awhile back, I had made a cake for a 10 year old girl, in the shape of a "10". It turned out pretty all-right :D

Well. I hope you enjoyed. :D

See you soon!
